"Neighborly Nadir"

Films: Eyes of a Stranger (1981)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: For the average serial killer, nothing must be any more insufferable than having someone instantly guess that you're the one behind all the killing these days. It makes all the other murders a bit stressful, doesn't it?

History: A string of murders have been occurring across Miami, and no-one is sure who's behind it. Everyone except reporter Jane Harris, who claims that her introverted neighbor Stanley Herbert is the killer. Stanley soon endures a litany of phone calls and taunts from her, endlessly denying the accusations. But as it turns out, she's right about it all, and he has his sights on those close to Jane.

Notable Kills: Stuffs a severed head into a fish tank.

Final Fate: Herbert eventually lashes out at Jane, but soon endures a bit of a beating before she finally puts a bullet between his eyes.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Herbert isn't all that unique as far as killers go. His disposition is that of an irritated everyman most of the time. But then again, perhaps his average personality is perfect for masking his psychotic tendencies.

Trivia: -This film was originally supposed to be a typical thriller, but the slasher craze at the time changed it to what it is now.

-Despite displaying a headstrong, if overly tenacious, female protagonist, this film came under fire from the public due to some underlying misogyny.

Somebody also mistook this phone booth for a coffin and went overboard.
That's what I'm talking about!
Your luck runs out today, Herbert.
